Red flake on white ground.
Recent historical records have found that this is the original strain of ‘America’ which was raised in California and introduced in 1896. This variety has more red and was previously identified as ‘Queen of the Isles’. The previous variety named America is renamed ‘Turral’s America’ and this has more white.
